The great one will remain no longer in a false sleep. Unease will take the place of repose. A phalanx of gold, blue and vermilion will be drawn up to subdue Africa, and gnaw it to the very bone. (Cheetham's 1989 translation)
The mention of gold, blue, and red in line 3 corresponds with Revelation 9:17-18: "They had breastplates of fire, 'red as fire, dark blue as jacinth, and yellow as sulphur.' The heads of the horses were like lions' heads, and out of their mouths issue fire and smoke and brimstone. By these three plagues a third of mankind were killed; by the fire and the smoke and the brimstone which issued from their mouths." Interpretation of both: the Antichrist will preside over World War III, which will be fought by three alliances, one with blue insignia, one with red, and one with yellow. Africa will be one of the battlegrounds. The NATO alliance uses a blue flag.
